tinie – a software package for electronic transport through two-dimensional cavities in a magnetic field

Quantum transport has far-reaching applications in modern electronics as it enables the control of currents nanoscale systems such quantum dots. In this paper we introduce tinie: a state-of-the-art simulation framework, which can efficiently perform first-principle calculations based on Landauer-B\"uttiker formalism. The computational repertoire tinie includes transmission, conductivity, and running through arbitrary multi-terminal two-dimensional devices, with additional tools that enable computation local density states. generality ranges from wide-band approximation to investigating subject an external magnetic field. future prospects include of, e.g., cavities, dots, or molecular junctions. package is written Python 3.6, its well-documented modular structure designed intent create platform suited for continuous expansion development. With possible obtain specific information about effects impurities imperfections particularly between ballistic diffusive regimes.
